First Flies, Now Rodents, at the White House!
Pests have struck again at the White House. Last summer, it was a fly that made headlines when President Obama swatted at the pest during an interview. Then, just yesterday, a mystery rodent was seen running around the Rose Garden during the Presidents statement on a financial regulatory reform bill.
The NPMAs senior scientist and technical advisor, Greg Baumann, has identified the critter to be a meadow vole, also known as a field mouse.
As Politico.com points out, the White House is likely to see more pests in the coming months: Projects to improve the executive mansions pipes and grounds are consistently driving [rodents] out into the open. So the upcoming massive construction project on the North Lawn, updating the utility infrastructure, is expected to uproot more critters.
Sounds like its time for the White House to call in a pro!
