The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) honored eight smiling and excited sixth grade students from Red Bank Middle School in Red Bank, New Jersey at a news conference yesterday for their clever and creative work on producing the winning public service announcement (PSA) titled Club Roach, for NPMAs inaugural Pest PSA Contest .

According to their music and art teachers, these young filmmakers took the reins of this project from start to finish. It turns out Red Bank students are a power house when it comes to entering and placing in technical contests, but this is their first win. NPMA is so proud of these youngsters, who not only produced a great PSA, but took the time to educate themselves about pests.
Because of their creativity and hard work, Red Bank Borough Public Schools received the $3,000 award from NPMA for advancing science education curriculum.
